The stream behind my country home has turned into a rushing river. The snow is melting and I can feel the energy of spring bubbling below the earth's surface. Winter has felt long and hard for most of us, but I hope that you are beginning to feel hopeful about 2021 and what it has in store for you.
Even though we are still feeling the grip of Covid-19, I feel as though I can face the rest of this year with an increased optimism. Similar to the grief process we undergo when we lose someone to death, I have experienced all of the firsts. The first of each of the holidays spent social distancing. My birthday and the birthday of family members. I now know how to keep the wheels of work turning without the traditional brick and mortar building. I now know how to remain connected to my friends and family effectively over social media, and most importantly, I know that I can survive isolation.
Dare I say that the experiences of Covid have become normal and with that comes a certain comfort level. Last year was a year of panic and constant adjusting as the situation kept changing on us, now we know what lockdown looks like. We know how to prepare and how to keep going.
So I ask you, how will you make 2021 a good year?
What can you do to improve your situation when it comes to your health, relationships, finances and personal growth?
You are stronger than you were before March 2020. You have survived the impossible to see and feel the emerging energy of spring once again. Harness this power and propel yourself forward knowing that you can do anything that you set your mind to. You are ready for new challenges.
